Due to COVID-19 circumstances, we have developed online CDAS training. The online format will allow us to pursue training and will become the format of choice as we we move forward.

Prerequisites

• Access to a CDAS kit
• Access to a computer with microphone and camera
• A good Internet connection
• Downloads of the required documents, which will be emailed to participants a few days before the training

• Full-time students: $95 (send a copy of your student card by email)
• Professionals: $160

This Humanov·is initiative is a one-day training session aimed at preparing participants to use the Child Development Assessment Scale 0 to 5 years (CDAS). The scale will allow them, if in doubt, to check if a child aged 0 to 5 years has a cognitive, motor or social-emotional developmental delay.

Target audience

The CDAS training is aimed at anyone working with children, including workers at youth centres, integrated health and social services centres (CISSS), integrated university health and social services centres (CIUSSS), childcare centres and community organizations.

Length

The training will take place over Thursday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Objectives

In this course, you’ll learn the theory behind the tool and do some hands-on exercises so that you can properly use the Child Development Assessment Scale 0 to 5 years (CDAS) to assess the various dimensions of a child’s development.
